Kenya is located in eastern Africa, the equator runs across the central part, and the East African Rift Valley runs from north to south, bordering Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania and other coffee producing areas. Kenya has a unique coffee growing environment, which is mainly distributed around the capital Nairobi and the northeast, extending to the Nyeri, Meru and Embu producing areas of the Kenyan mountains.
This carefully selected Kenyan AA coffee comes from the Kaguga processing plant in Neri, Kenya. At an altitude of 1813 meters, it is located on the banks of the Gikira River in the Aberdare Ranges Mountains. Coffee farmers sort and sort the coffee cherries harvested here, separate the properly ripe fruits from immature, overripe fruits and foreign objects, and then ferment and wash them using the stable and clean water source of the Gikira River. The treated wastewater will be recycled again.
The treatment plant belongs to the Ausaya Farmers' Cooperative, about 140 kilometers from Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. at present, there are about 600 members of the treatment plant, with a planting area of 47.2 hectares and an annual temperature of 12 ~ 27 degrees Celsius. Coffee bushes are nourished here by volcanic laterite with unique climatic conditions, good drainage and rich organic matter. The temperature difference brought by high altitude causes the coffee fruit to ripen slowly, creating coffee with excellent flavor and sweetness.
Under the supervision of the regional committees, farmers strictly abide by the planting policies formulated by cooperatives, and at the same time, in order to increase biodiversity and maintain the good growth of crops, intercropping is also carried out. In addition to coffee trees, grevillea and macadamia are also planted as shade trees, as well as banana trees.
