Is the harvest time of Central American and Indonesian coffee beans the same as Colombian coffee in South America?
Generally speaking, the Central American producing region of the Northern Hemisphere or Aceh in Indonesia is the busiest harvest and post-production period in February and March every year, so the beans can be shipped to the consuming countries in May-October every year; Brazil in the southern hemisphere is the busiest harvest and post-harvest period every year from June to July, and the beans can arrive from September to April of the following year. As a result, it is generally not easy for consumers in the Northern Hemisphere to buy seasonal beans in Central America from winter to early spring because they are harvesting and post-harvest, but they can buy fresh beans in Brazilian coffee or Africa at the same time. In addition, if the producing countries cross the equator and the producing areas are distributed in the northern and southern hemispheres, such as Colombian coffee, Kenyan coffee and Indonesian coffee, due to the different rainy seasons in the northern and southern hemispheres, there will be two harvest periods, that is, fresh beans will be exported in all seasons.
The "third wave" roasters attach great importance to coffee seasons, such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama and Honduras, or Indonesian Sumatra and Aceh coffee from May to October each year. But between September and April of the following year, Brazil is the main hit.
