Colorado Coffee is the number one coffee brand in Australia and one of the largest coffee chains in the world. It originated in Chicago in 1979 and was founded in Sydney (Miranda) in 1996. Today, Colorado Coffee has more than 101.00 stores worldwide in 42 countries on six continents. Colorado's retail products include more than 60 of the world's top coffee beans, coffee capsules, tea, a variety of hand-made hot and cold coffee drinks, traditional espresso, pastries and goods.

Since it opened its first coffee store in Australia in Sydney in 1996, Gloria Jean's Coffee has achieved great success in Australia and has developed and expanded rapidly all over the world.

Colorado Coffee brand began in 1979 in Chicago, USA. In 1996, Nabi Saleh and Peter Irvine were granted franchises and baking rights for the brand in Australia and New Zealand. With the gradual acquisition of franchise rights, roasting rights and international trademark rights from American Gloria Jean's Coffees Coffee, Colorado Coffee began its global expansion.
In 2007, the first Colorado coffee store opened in Mexico City.
In 2008, the first Colorado coffee store was opened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Bangalore, India, in a significant year in the history of Colorado Coffee. In the same year, Colorado Coffee became the first Australian company to win the Green Earth Award for its contribution to Rainforest Alliance certified farms and local communities.

Since Colorado Coffee finally won the franchise and trademark rights in the United States and Puerto Rico, the global family of Colorado Coffee has finally gathered under the same flag.
2009-Gloria Jean's Coffees Coffee opened its first local store in Indira Naggar, India, the Oasis Shopping Mall in Cairo, Egypt, Kefiza, Greece, and Shanghai, China. Nabi Saleh was awarded the "Export Hero" honor by the Australian Export Association.
