Different designs of the inner wall and cup bottom affect the flow speed and flow method, for example, the outlet speed is fast when the hole in the bottom of the cup is large, and vice versa; if the filter paper is too attached to the cup wall, the flow speed will slow down. Basically, the faster the flow rate is, the less the extraction time is, and the coffee flavor is lighter, while if the flow rate is too slow, the extraction time is long and the flavor is heavier, but if the hand flushing technology is not good, the extraction may be too bitter.

Don't grind the powder too coarse. Medium to fine is better. Therefore, when grinding beans with Krups, you have to grind a little longer before you have more and finer powder.

3. Hot water hand flushing

Soak the surface of the coffee in hot water of about 90 degrees and heat it for 15 minutes.
