Las Flores
Roger Dominguez and his wife, Carmen Fiallos, have been working on coffee production in Marcala, La Paz. Their coffee farm is called Finca Las Flores and is located in 1512 masl. They grow a variety of Catuai, and have participated in COE and auctions before. They plant different types of trees (musaceas, guachipilin, pepeto and orange) to shade the coffee trees.
Finca Las Flores works very hard in every process, using very strict quality standards and harvesting only the most ripe cherries. Their goal is to improve the grinding process and become a professional coffee exporter. Their drying process is in the sun, using the screen. They often bring samples to the IHCAFE laboratory to test the quality of coffee. They are part of the Origin project supported by IHCAFE.
