Basic knowledge of coffee how to choose a cup of coffee that suits you
Basic knowledge of coffee
Go to Starbucks or CoffeeBean, look at those dazzling hot coffee names, hesitate for a long time and decide to order the cheapest Espresso. It came as a bolt from the blue, Barra! That cup is the size of a child's home wine. Are you kidding me? Well, it doesn't matter, since it's already ordered, there's nothing I can do about it. Take a sip and have a look, um. Uhh! Super bitter! What on earth is this?!
As a result, the cup was put on the table and waited for a long time, but it got cold. Alas. At least it's 4 or 5 yuan. Don't waste it. Drink it. Um... Uhh! It's sour! How did it get so bad!
Then from then on, you can only order cold drinks or Frappucino when you go to Starbucks or Coffeebean.
You may have heard or experienced such a scene.
But if you know the contents of the hot drinks sold by Starbucks or Coffeebean, I believe that soon everyone will fall in love with their hot drinks. After all, the unique aroma of hot coffee cannot be made without specific equipment.
First of all, what is espresso Espresso?
Espresso is the essence of coffee extracted by baristas using Espresso Machine.
A good espresso will have a layer of fat on it, called Crema. If you scoop a spoonful of sugar into that cup of coffee, the spoonful of sugar will stay on the surface for a while before sinking. This is a cup of espresso with perfect extraction. Espresso starts to deteriorate after 15 seconds, so don't leave your espresso for too long. If you want to sit in a coffee shop and enjoy it, Espresso is definitely not your choice.
Let's introduce these four most common ones:
Americano
Or Long Black, the so-called black coffee, is made by adding water to Espresso.
"Brew of the Day" will also be sold in Starbucks and Coffeebean, and the coffee beans used that day will be written on a small blackboard (please follow this page for more information about coffee beans), so people who like black coffee might as well try Brew of the Day, and maybe one day you will find the best coffee bean for you.
Flat White
The so-called white coffee is made by adding steamed milk to the Espresso.
It is a trend to drink Flat White in Britain. Because the British Flat White practice is to add Espresso to the milk (Microfoam), so the taste is smooth, very creamy. But in Malaysia, not many people usually have the ability to play Microfoam, so it is almost impossible to drink this dense Flat White.
At this point, some people may ask, what is the difference between Flat White and Cappucino in Britain?
There's a big difference.
Cappucino
Add a little steamed milk and a little more Dry Foam to the Espresso.
The difference between Dry Foam and Microfoam is that Dry foam floats on the water, but when you drink it, you will feel that it is a little hard and tasty. Microfoam is different, it is very like a liquid, it is wet.
So, when you drink Cappucino, you will get three flavors: the original taste of coffee, the aroma of milk and the taste of milk foam. Of course, a very good barista will make a perfect blend of these three tastes (commonly known as Wet Cappucino). But the taste of Flat White will be compared to the white coffee of "all in one" ── and creamy.
Cafe Latte
The literal translation is "coffee milk" (Latte means milk, so Tea Latte is not the legendary mandarin duck, but milk tea). Pour steamed milk into the Espresso until it is 8: 9 minutes full, and finally put on a layer of foam. It differs from Cappucino in that it has a lighter coffee flavor and more milk, so it is suitable for people who are less able to drink coffee.
And then these four different flavors of coffee.
