In spite of this, all the batches of Elida Manor participating in the Best of Panama competition used Catuai species, but they were able to achieve good results again and again, which shows the excellent quality and special flavor of coffee brought by its geographical environment and excellent postharvest treatment technology. in such a high altitude environment, low temperature delayed the ripening of coffee berries by about a month later than the normal ripening period. While the fertile volcanic loam provides sufficient nutrients for coffee, coupled with the excellent microclimate brought by the Baru volcano, Elida Manor can repeatedly achieve cup test competitions. Coffee cultivation ranges from 1670 meters to 1850 meters above sea level, making it one of the two highest coffee farms in Panama (the other estate with such elevations should be Carmen Manor in the Vulcan Valley)
Elida Manor has a total area of 65 hectares, more than half of which are located within the Baru Volcano National Park. 30 hectares of the estate are planted with coffee trees, while the remaining 35 hectares are primeval forests. Pokuit has always been the most eye-catching coffee producing area in Panama, and there are many famous estates in the area-such as Esmeralda, which is famous for the Geisha variety World War I. Hartmen Manor (Hartman), Mamakata Manor (Mama Cata), Kotwa Manor (Kotowa), St. Teresa Manor (Santa Teresa) of the Best of Panama victorious Army. Alida Manor itself is also a heavyweight star manor in Pokuit-has won Best of Panama awards for the past five years in a row, second only to Jade Manor.
The Pokuit producing area is located on the east side of the Baru volcano. It is a valley area flowed by lava, which is adjacent to the Vulcan Valley (Volcan Valley), another well-known coffee producing area in Panama.
