Andries is a biologist with a master's degree in economics and is currently a CQI lecturer in Colombia and China. In 2007, he founded Natural Color, an exporter and research center that provides assistance and training to producers from different regions of Colombia to implement research projects and improve quality.
Andries decided to become a coffee producer and understand their needs. It was on his farm in 2013 that La Cereza was born in St. Augustine, Whelan Province, and today is the color research center of nature, with 25 young people between the ages of 25 and 29 behind the process and the production of his coffee and other producers.
"our idea is to continue to participate, which means a lot to the farm, and it is an honor for high-quality producers to have the opportunity to showcase this community project."
Andries explained that the fermentation process of his Caturra lot is 48 hours and the temperature is controlled at 16 degrees Celsius.
